Honors Physics- Period 1

9/4/25 - 9/5/25

This is the first week of school so we will be doing introductory assignments and reviewing class rules and expectations.

9/8/25 - 9/12/25

This week is when we will start on physics content, specifically 1-D kinematics

9/15/25 - 9/19/25

This week we will be starting our first laboratory assignment in the kinematics unit and taking the time necessary for data analysis.

9/22/25 - 9/26/25

There is no school on Monday this week due to a waiver day. We will be moving on to freefall this week and likely finishing the motion notes this week.

9/29/25 - 10/3/25

We will be finishing freefall this week and will then move on to the end of the unit activities, which are the homework and test curve packet.

10/6/25 - 10/10/25

We will be completing the test on freefall this week and after that test we will start the vectors and relativity unit

10/13/25 - 10/17/25

This week is a 4 day week due to a PD day for teachers happening on Friday. We will be continuing our study of vectors and relativity this week and starting on the labs for this unit.

10/20/25 - 10/24/25

This week is a 4 day week due to a PD day for teachers happening on Friday. We will be continuing our study of vectors and relativity this week and continuing on the labs for this unit.

10/27/25 - 10/31/25

This week we will be closing out our study of vectors and relativity this week. This includes doing the analysis on both labs and completing the homework and test prep for the unit.

11/3/25 - 11/7/25

This week is a 4 day week due to a waiver day happening on Tuesday of this week. We will be finishing the vectors unit and moving onto projectile motion.

11/10/25 - 11/14/25

This week we will be moving onto projectile motion and further completing the notes and lab for the unit. (UPDATE- Monday was a snow day so there are only 4 days this week)

11/17/25 - 11/21/25

This week we will be performing the experiment over projectile motion and then moving into test preparation for projectile motion.

11/24/25 - 11/25/25

This is a 2 day week due to the thanksgiving holiday break this week. We will mainly be working on test review.

12/1/25 - 12/5/25

This week we will be reviewing and then completing a test on projectile motion. After this, we will then begin our unit on Newton's Laws of Motion. UPDATE: A snow day has made this a 4 day week.

12/8/25 - 12/12/25

This week we will be entirely focused on Newton's Laws of motion notes and learning everything involved in the unit.

12/15/25 - 12/19/25

This week we will hopefully be finishing the notes on Newton's Laws of Motion this week before we leave for break. (Due to icy conditions on Friday, this became a 4 day week)

SEMESTER 2

1/5/26 - 1/9/26

This week we will be completing the assignments over Newton's Law's of Motion. We will then be reviewing for the test on Wednesday for the rest of the week.

1/12/26 - 1/16/26

This week we will be completing the test over Newton's Laws of Motion. We will then be starting on the completion of the notes over Work, Energy, and Power.

1/19/26 - 1/23/26

This week we will be working on the completion of the notes over Work, Energy, and Power. We will then be moving onto the lab and other assignments of the unit

1/26/26 - 1/30/26

Due to a major snow storm that happened over the weekend, Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday were cancelled this week. We will therefore continue to finish the notes this week before moving onto assignments.

2/2/26 - 2/6/26

We are back to regular schedule this week so we will be finishing the laboratory experiment this week and then spending time on assignments in preparation for the test on the unit.

2/9/26 - 2/13/26

Monday is a waiver day for teachers and there was no school for students. We will be taking the test over work, power, and energy this week and then moving onto the unit on momentum.

2/16/26 - 2/20/26

Monday was set to be a school day make up but ended up being cancelled. We will be continuing to go over the notes on momentum this week.

2/23/26 - 2/27/26

This week we will be completing the lab of the momentum unit and then spending time working on the assignments of the momentum unit.

3/2/26 - 3/6/26

This week we will be completing the test over momentum this week and we will then be moving onto a unit on electrical circuits.

3/9/26 - 3/13/26

This week is unique because on Monday it was a waiver day for teachers and on Tuesday it was a special day where the ACT was administered and an alternate schedule was in place. The rest of this week will be devoted to going over the notes on circuits.

3/16/26 - 3/20/26

This week we are completing the notes on electric circuits and then completing the inquiry lab on circuits as well.

3/23/26 - 3/27/26

This is the week before spring break and we are completing the homework assignments on circuits as well as the test curve assignment followed by test review for the unit in preparation for the test after spring break.

4/6/26 - 4/10/26

This week we will be completing the circuits test on Wednesday and then starting to work on the tennis ball launch project.

4/13/26 - 4/17/26

This week is when state testing starts so there is a delay schedule on Tuesday and Wednesday this week. We are solely focused on the tennis ball launch project at this point in the year.

4/20/26 - 4/24/26

This week is more state testing so there is a delay schedule on Tuesday and Wednesday this week. We are solely focused on the tennis ball launch project at this point in the year.

4/27/26 - 5/1/26

This week is more state testing so there is a delay schedule on Tuesday, Wednesday, & Thursday this week. We are solely focused on the tennis ball launch project at this point in the year.

5/4/26 - 5/8/26

This week is only 4 days for the students due to the last waiver day of the year on Tuesday. We are still remaining focused on the tennis ball launch project for the remainder of the year.

5/11/26 - 5/15/26

We are still entirely focused on the tennis ball launch project for the remainder of the school year.

5/18/26 - 5/22/26

Launch day is on Monday and after launch day the only task that is left for the year is to finish the lab paper for the launcher.
