This is the first week of school so we will be doing introductory assignments and reviewing class rules and expectations.
9/8/25 - 9/12/25
This week is when we will start on physics content, specifically 1-D kinematics
9/15/25 - 9/19/25
This week we will be starting our first laboratory assignment in the kinematics unit and taking the time necessary for data analysis.
9/22/25 - 9/26/25
There is no school on Monday this week due to a waiver day. We will be completing the second lab of the unit this week on freefall and then moving into test review to prepare for the 1st test.
9/29/25 - 10/3/25
We will be finishing the homework and other assignments this week on kinematics as the test over the unit is on Wednesday. We will then start learning about AP exam FRQ questions later this week.
10/6/25 - 10/10/25
We will be continuing our unit on vectors and relativity this week as well as starting our first set of AP exam preparation questions.
10/13/25 - 10/17/25
This week is a 4 day week due to a PD day for teachers happening on Friday. We will be continuing our study of vectors and relativity and starting on the labs for this unit.
10/20/25 - 10/24/25
This week is a 4 day week due to a PD day for teachers happening on Friday. We will be continuing our study of vectors and relativity this week and continuing on the labs for this unit.
10/27/25 - 10/31/25
This week we will be closing out our study of vectors and relativity this week. This includes doing the analysis on both labs and completing the homework and test prep for the unit.
11/3/25 - 11/7/25
This week is a 4 day week due to a waiver day happening on Tuesday of this week. We will be starting projectile motion this week.
11/10/25 - 11/14/25
This week we will be moving onto projectile motion and further completing the notes and lab for the unit. (UPDATE- Monday was a snow day so there are only 4 days this week)
11/17/25 - 11/21/25
This week we will be reviewing for the projectile motion test happening on Thursday of this week.
11/24/25 - 11/25/25
This is a 2 day week due to the thanksgiving holiday break this week. We will mainly be working on the Newton's Laws of Motion notes.
12/1/25 - 12/5/25
This week we will be continuing with the notes and practice on Newton's Laws of Motion. UPDATE: A snow day has made this a 4 day week.
12/8/25 - 12/12/25
This week we will be entirely focused on Newton's Laws of motion notes and learning everything involved in the unit. We will also get to the point where we can close out the notes of the unit and start on the unit assignments.
12/15/25 - 12/19/25
This week we will hopefully be completing the lab and homework assignments for the Newton's Laws unit. (Due to icy conditions on Friday, this became a 4 day week)
SEMESTER 2
1/5/26 - 1/9/26
This week we will be completing the test over Newton's Laws on Thursday. We will then be moving onto Work, Energy, and Power.
1/12/26 - 1/16/26
This week we will be completing the notes and practice questions over Work, Energy, and Power.
1/19/26 - 1/23/26
This week we will be working on the completion of the notes over Work, Energy, and Power. We will then be moving onto the lab and other assignments of the unit
1/26/26 - 1/30/26
Due to a major snow storm that happened over the weekend, Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday were cancelled this week. We will therefore do the lab assignment this week and finish preparation for the unit test. The date of this test has been moved on account of the cancellations.
2/2/26 - 2/6/26
We are back to regular schedule this week so we will be completing the test that was delayed on account of last week's weather on Wednesday and then moving onto the next unit.
2/9/26 - 2/13/26
Monday is a waiver day for teachers and there was no school for students. We will be continuing our study of uniform circular motion before moving onto the unit assignments.
2/16/26 - 2/20/26
Monday was set to be a school day make up but ended up being cancelled. This week will be a time to complete all assignments from past and the current units before moving onto momentum next week.
2/23/26 - 2/27/26
This week we will be starting the unit on momentum and completing the notes over this topic.
3/2/26 - 3/6/26
This week we will be finishing the notes on momentum and we will then be moving onto the momentum lab.
3/9/26 - 3/13/26
This week is unique because on Monday it was a waiver day for teachers and on Tuesday it was a special day where the ACT was administered and an alternate schedule was in place. The rest of this week will be devoted to first taking a test over momentum and then after this, we will be going over notes on rotational motion.
3/16/26 - 3/20/26
This week we are completing the notes on angular motion and angular momentum.
3/23/26 - 3/27/26
This is the week before spring break and we are continuing to work on the notes for angular motion and momentum until they are complete.
4/6/26 - 4/10/26
This week we will be completing all the assignments on the rotational motion unit and then moving onto completing the final 2 units of the year before the AP exam. NOTE: This class will be required to complete the last of the academic material AND the tennis ball launch project simultaneously. This is out of necessity due to the AP exam.
4/13/26 - 4/17/26
This week is when state testing starts so there is a delay schedule on Tuesday and Wednesday this week. We will be working on the simple harmonic motion unit and simultaneously working on the fluids unit in the background. The tennis ball launcher DRAWING is also due at the end of the week.
4/20/26 - 4/24/26
This week is more state testing so there is a delay schedule on Tuesday and Wednesday this week. The drawing for the tennis ball launcher was moved to this Friday and we will be completing the simple harmonic motion homework and test this week.
4/27/26 - 5/1/26
This week is more state testing so there is a delay schedule on Tuesday, Wednesday, & Thursday this week. We are solely focused on completing the final assignments of the year prior to the AP exam next week.
5/4/26 - 5/8/26
This week is only 4 days for the students due to the last waiver day of the year on Tuesday. ALSO, the AP exam is on Wednesday this week and a special lunch will be hosted that day. After that day, the only assignment remaining is the tennis ball launch project.
5/11/26 - 5/15/26
We are focused on the tennis ball launch project for the remainder of the school year.
5/18/26 - 5/22/26
Launch day is on Monday and after launch day the only task that is left for the year is to finish the lab paper for the launcher.
