Honors Anatomy & Physiology- Period 2
9/4/25 - 9/5/25
This is the first week of school so we will be doing introductory assignments and reviewing class rules and expectations.
9/8/25 - 9/12/25
This week is when we will start on anatomy content, specifically a review of essential biology knowledge and anatomical terminology.
9/15/25 - 9/19/25
This week we will be starting our first laboratory assignment over anatomical terminology in the form of a simulated autopsy and completing a 2nd experiment as well on homeostasis.
9/22/25 - 9/26/25
There is no school on Monday this week due to a waiver day. We will be having our 1st test this week on Thursday over introductory content and we will also be moving onto tissues this week as well.
9/29/25 - 10/3/25
We will be completing the notes on tissues this week and then moving onto the labs over the unit before the test next week.
10/6/25 - 10/10/25
We will be completing the test on tissues this week and will also be starting the integumentary system (skin) unit this week as well
10/13/25 - 10/17/25
This week is a 4 day week due to a PD day for teachers happening on Friday. We will be continuing our study of the integumentary system and preparing for the labs on the skin.
10/20/25 - 10/24/25
This week is a 4 day week due to a PD day for teachers happening on Friday. We will be continuing our completion of the lab and final assignments on the skin.
10/27/25 - 10/31/25
This week we will be closing out our study of the skin, taking the test over the skin, and then moving on to the skeletal system unit.
11/3/25 - 11/7/25
This week is a 4 day week due to a waiver day happening on Tuesday of this week. We will be moving onto the labs of the skeletal system this week including constructing compact bone cells, joint charades, and X-Ray analysis.
11/10/25 - 11/14/25
This week we will be further reviewing the skeletal system in preparation for the upcoming test. (UPDATE- Monday was a snow day so there are only 4 days this week)
11/17/25 - 11/21/25
This week we will be reviewing for a test over the skeletal system happening on Wednesday and depending on if time is needed, taking 2 days to finish it. We will then move onto the muscular system.
11/24/25 - 11/25/25
This is a 2 day week due to the thanksgiving holiday break this week. We will mainly be working on muscular system notes.
12/1/25 - 12/5/25
This week we will be completing the notes on the muscular system. We will then be completing the lab assignments over the muscular system. UPDATE: A snow day has made this a 4 day week.
12/8/25 - 12/12/25
This week we will be working on preparing for test over the muscular system happening on Friday of this week.
12/15/25 - 12/19/25
This week we will hopefully be finishing the test over muscles and then beginning the unit on the Nervous system. (Due to icy conditions on Friday, this became a 4 day week)
SEMESTER 2
1/5/26 - 1/9/26
This week we will be continuing to complete the notes over the nervous system. We will also be implementing the new homework format this unit and preparing for the labs on the nervous system.
1/12/26 - 1/16/26
This week we will be closing out with the remaining assignments that are left in 2nd quarter which are the laboratory experiments over the nervous system.
1/19/26 - 1/23/26
This week we will be working on the lab dissection on the brain and then finishing the homework for the nervous system unit.
1/26/26 - 1/30/26
Due to a major snow storm that happened over the weekend, Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday were cancelled this week. We will therefore continue to prepare for the unit test on the Nervous System. The date of this test has been moved on account of the cancellations.
2/2/26 - 2/6/26
We are back to regular schedule this week so we will be completing the test that was delayed on account of last week's weather and then moving onto the endocrine system.
2/9/26 - 2/13/26
Monday is a waiver day for teachers and there was no school for students. We will be continuing our study of the endocrine system and then completing the mini labs of the unit.
2/16/26 - 2/20/26
Monday was set to be a school day make up but ended up being cancelled. We will be continuing to complete the assignments over the endocrine system this week in preparation for the test Thursday.
